Finding your Nanny

On Call Nanny’s placement department is dedicated to help promptly you navigate the Nanny hiring process while providing unparalleled customer service. We understand that finding a responsible and engaging caregiver for your children can seem stressful, so we strive to make the experience as seamless and informative as possible for you and your family.

Whether you are looking for in-home childcare support for the next several months or several years,
or you simply need some consulting on a search that you have already started.

 

Our Process:

1: Schedule an Intake Meeting:

The first step in working together is to schedule a time to meet you and your family. This can be Via Zoom or Phone Call. During this time, we will learn about your specific childcare needs and assess how best to meet them.

2: Nanny Search: 

Once you have decided to hire On Call Nanny to find you a permanent placement.  Our Engagement fee of $350 will be due. From then we will draft up a detailed job description based on your specific needs  which you will have the chance to review and approve. Once your job description is finalized, On call Nanny will search and interview candidates  that meet qualifications.

3: Your Nanny Candidates: 

Families can expect to interview between one and three candidates. We will only send you candidates who meet your criteria and feel would be a good overall match with your family culture. Upon placement, you will receive a comprehensive profile of the candidates. From there the family will be able to interview the candidates and decide which one is the best fit.

4: Hire and Placement: 

Once you've selected the nanny you wish to hire, On Call Nanny can help with resources on drafting and offer letters and employment contracts. At time of hire our placement fee is due, which is 15% of the Nanny’s annual gross salary.

5: On Going support: 

The support does not stop at hire. On Call Nanny is there to support with any concerns that may come your way, in addition you will receive a year long subscription to our on call services ( a $150 value)

The Cost Breakdown

Long Term Placements - 15% of Nanny’s Annual Gross Income

A $350 non-refundable engagement fee is due prior to beginning the search and the placement fee is due by the employee’s date 0f hire.

This service includes support from On Call Nanny’s Placement Counselors, our replacement credit, and one year’s registration to our on-call services (a $150 value).

  • What benefits do I have with using On Call Nanny?

  • How long does the placement process take?

    • About 2- 8 weeks

  • What areas does the On Call Nannies Permanent Placements resource serve?

    • Our Permanent Placement services serve families nationwide. Our Backup care services help families in the Seattle area and the Bay Area.

  • What if I want a placement but for less than 6 months?

    • We have short term placement options as well, please contact us at: info@oncallnanny.com for our rates.

  • Can I just get the consulting services and do the rest myself?

    • Yes, for $150 we will meet with you and help create a job description, as well as resources on sites to post on.

  • I don’t want to handle payroll and taxes, is that an option?

    • In a placement situation, On Call Nanny is only the agency to help find you a nanny, therefore, we are not the employer. As you are considered the employer in this situation, by law you will be responsible for taxes and payroll.

  • I want a long-term placement, but for part-time, is that an option?

    • For placements of less than 30 hours,  we would recommend using our short term placement services info@oncallnanny.com.

  • Does On Call Nanny assist with live-in situations as well.

    • Yes, we do! Our Placement Counselors have knowledge about both live-in and live-out nanny situations.

  • Does On Call Nanny provide background checks?

    • Yes, during the process we will background check one applicant of your choice, There is an additional $100 per background check after the first one is requested.
